After three days of no Internet it is good to be back. On the one hand it was only three days so in hindsight it really isn't that big of a deal but then again, it was THREE DAYS! Oh our Internet addicted culture...
What's worse, our satellite connection at home uses Internet so we couldn't watch the majority of the channels. We ended up watching a bunch of movies instead (and I read of course). First world problems am I right?
So yeah, it wasn't a tragedy but at the same time it's interesting to see how dependent we have become to a computer and the worlds it can transport us to. If you have a question, a doubt on how to do something or are simply curious about the life-cycle of the lady bug, you simply open your friendly neighborhood search engine, type your query and press enter. It's that simple. We can live without it of course, but it makes us think we can't. That's something that I feel is really important to remember.

Ellen DeGeneres, the voice of Dory in Finding Nemo has been longing for a sequel to the 2003 Pixar animated film for years. And really who could blame her. I recently had the urge to re-watch the movie not too long ago and I remembered why I loved it so much.
Finding Nemo is such a great story and the characters are so fun to watch, especially Dory who suffers from short-term memory loss but is still able to be a vital part in finding Marlyn's son Nemo. Granted she can never remember Nemo's name, calling him things like, Fabio, Harpo and Elmo instead, but she remembers where they can find him and urges Nemo's dad to "just keep swimming, just keep swimming."

Now normally I write something TV or movie related on Mondays but seeing as I started Farsi lessons again I wanted to switch things up a bit, so today is an Iran culture post and Wednesday I will post my opinion on an upcoming Pixar movie that I have been waiting for, for YEARS.
As a fan of 9gag, a website dedicated to sharing memes, I am very much familiar with the "I hate Monday" type posts. And I must admit, I have also felt a grudge every now and then towards that particular day of the week. It signals the return of work and school. It is, alas the end of the weekend. But since moving to Iran, Monday has become my "blah" day, instead of my "oh here we go" day. I know I'm such an optimist! And surprisingly it only took me about a week or so to get use to it.
As my mother says, "People can adapt to anything, except not having food and/or water."

After the long Nooruz break it's time to go "back to school" as it were, for Farsi lessons!
Technically speaking the intensive morning course started up again on Saturday but my first day will be tomorrow. And while I try to treasure my three free days off and distribute them accordingly throughout a given course, unfortunately two have fallen by the way side. I'll have to save my remaining day for something good. (Which in my case means a lazy day!)
Have I reviewed ANYTHING in the month we had off? No, no I didn't, but I'm sure it will come back to me soon enough. I'll be sitting next to my good friend Dipa (take a look at his awesome picture taking skills here) who is much better at actually talking in Farsi than I am, while I on the other hand, understand the grammar quicker and can write pretty well. We help each other like that.
Well Farsi Intermediate II, let's see how we do!

|AMC's The Walking Dead|
Being that I don't live in the United States, I always have to wait until the next day to watch my favorite shows and today was great! I watched the season finale of The Walking Dead, the season premier of Game of Thrones and the final episode of the Talking Dead. All in all it's been a good day so far and will continue to be one as I continue reading A Series of Unfortunate Events. Which granted is on a different spectrum than those shows but maybe I'll do some Song of Ice and Fire re-reading afterwards.
Spoilers dead Ahead!
